Assistant

An assistant that answers your visitors in your own site's words — in writing or by voice — and a record of what they asked for.
Everything below is declared by Assistant itself, so it describes this deployment rather than a manual — and it is rewritten whenever the program changes.
What it is
- Its key is Assistant, which is also the prefix of every component it owns.
- It is bought: a site has it only when the registry records that this customer bought it.
What it may be allowed to do
These are the permissions it declares. A person sees one of its screens only where his role carries the matching permission.
- assistant.manage
- assistant.view
What it puts on a page
One component, each of which can be dropped onto a page in the composer.
Assistant
A box your visitors can ask questions in.
Placed as Assistant.Chat.
4 settings:
- Greeting — typed in. The first line it says. Left empty, it simply waits.
- What the box says before anybody types — typed in.
- Open it as soon as the page loads — a switch, left alone it is false. A bubble that opens itself is one a visitor has to close. Off unless the page is about asking.
- Voice — chosen from Writing only, The browser's own voice, left alone it is off. The browser's own speech: nothing is uploaded and nothing is charged.
