Menus and Nesting
UniSoftCoThe address has two parts and cannot show nesting. The menu can, and it is what a reader sees.
People ask for a page inside a page. What they want is a menu item inside a menu item, and that is exactly what the menu screen does.
A menu item may point at three things
A page, an address of your own, or nothing at all. The third is not a mistake: an item with neither is a heading that opens the panel beneath it, which is how a large menu is organised.
A menu belongs to a section
Each section has its own header menu and its own footer menu, because each section is its own site. A section with no menu falls back to listing its own pages, which is enough until the day it is not.
Who sees an item
An item can be shown to everybody, only to somebody signed in, or only to somebody signed out. The third is what a "Sign in" link is for; the second is what an account page is for.
