Every site can be exported whole — its rows and its uploaded files — from Recovery. The file is yours and it is readable without this program.

An addon that lapses stops drawing and stops accepting new work; it does not delete what it held. The window is stamped on the site at the moment it lapses rather than read from a setting, so nobody can shorten it afterwards and take your data with it.
