Your First Page
UniSoftCoA page has no content of its own. Everything on it is a component you place — including the plain text.
The single most surprising thing about this panel, and the thing that makes the rest of it easy: a page is empty by definition.
Everything is a placed component
A paragraph of text is a component. So is a photograph slider, a list of news, a contact form and a shopping basket. They are all put on a page by the same act, in the same place, by dragging them onto a preview of the page itself.
It sounds like a technical detail and it is the whole design. It means that the person who arranges the shop is the person who arranges the news, and neither of them writes code.
Zones
A layout offers places to put things — a full-width band across the top, the main content, and on some layouts a sidebar. Which zones exist depends on the layout you chose for that page.
Hide rather than delete
A component you do not want today has a switch. Use it. A placement is its settings — which category, how many, which design, which advertisement — and deleting it to clear a space throws all of that away. Hiding keeps it exactly as it was.
